<aside> 💭 Prompt: An interesting thing is happening, people have started ambling down memory lane. For some of us this nostalgia can be a joyful revisiting, for others a yearning for times gone.

Write about any nostalgias you’ve experienced recently. Digging through old journals to check in on younger you, listening to albums you haven’t put on in a decade, scrolling back through your photo timeline to revisit a fun trip to a barn museum in rural Ohio.

🛫 Nostalgia

By April Ahrens

The nostalgia I’m having is for the old freedom of movement. Hop on a plane, run to the store, take a road trip. Im thinking a lot about traveling and trips and how it’s impossible right now. How that is what I’m antsy for.

I want to go on 500 vacations when this is all over. Travel is the thing my husband and I spend our money on. And that is now not allowed. We are supposed to be in Ireland right now. And even if we hadn’t planned that trip, we spend every other weekend in the spring and fall traveling to climb outside. It feels weird to just be home. No traveling. It’s restful, which is nice. But it’s also cause us to be antsy. And it’s way less exciting than getting out in the world.

So, I’m thinking about past trips and the future trips I hope to go on. Letting that carry me through until we are allowed out again.

🌉 Missing San Francisco

By Viya Qu

I'm missing San Francisco so much (T-T),

I miss running on the ocean beach,

I miss grabbing a drink in the Mission,

I miss going to my friend's place for a house party,

I miss good music with good company,

I miss driving on the high way No.1,

I miss watching the sunset & surfers,
